FAQs

Q?

What’s next for Ritch’s Gym?

A.

We have our hearts set on helping our members reach all of their health/physique goals, make your visit to the gym more enjoyable etc...  Below are some of the plans we have for the gym.
1.  Car key holder
2.  Free weight lifting seminars
3.  More new equipment.  My goal is to add at least 1 new piece of equipment every year.
4.  Meat locker addition.  We have more space available which is located in the room behind the TV's/across from the restrooms.  We are currently waiting for the Wendell Christmas lights to be completely removed as this was the room they were stored in.  As soon as the room is cleared, we will start preparing.  It will be a completely different environment than the current gym and all other gyms in the Wendell area.  This room will be cold in the winter, hot in the summer with a bay door to open during nice days.  It will have an area for power lifting (bumper plates), squatting, bench pressing, dumbbells 100lbs & up, all plate loaded equipment etc...  Nothing will be new as it will all be old school used equipment.  It will stay a warehouse feel as I will not be sheet rocking, painting etc... OLD SCHOOL HARD CORE LIFTING.  Take ya shirt off (guys only lol), crank up the music, grunt, chalk up and LIFT!!  Hopes are to open by summer 2016!

Q?

What do I get with my gym membership?

A.

You get full use of all equipment during business hours.  Our staff will be glad to show you the equipment and how to use it if you have questions.  If you are new to weight lifting, I highly recommend our program design which includes a designed program for you and a 1 30 minute personal training session to go over the plan.  The fee is only $50.

Q?

Why is there an annual gym improvement fee?

A.

This annual gym improvement fee is a secondary liability insurance coverage for you or your child.  We also use a portion of this fee to keep the equipment updated (new equipment added each year), clean and in proper working order.  This fee is collected in the month of September in the amount of $35 per person. The registration fee is pro-rated to your month of enrollment.

Q?

What forms do I need to fill out before coming in?

A.

If you look on our website, under "services", at the bottom of the page there is list of forms needed for each service provided. YOU OR YOUR CHILD CAN NOT PARTICIPATE UNTIL WAIVER FORMS ARE SIGNED!

Q?

What forms of payment are accepted?

A.

Ritch's Personal Training only accepts checks and cash as forms of payment. All payments must be made in full before services can be scheduled or rendered. Please see our policies form for your chosen service.

Q?

What’s the first thing I need to do so I can loose fat?

A.

1.  Join our 1 year nutrition program and sign up for our group classes or personal training. Without a good nutrition program, your results will be limited.  Wonder why so many people sign up for gym memberships and work real hard for 1-2 months then quit?  It's because they are not seeing the results they want compared with the amount of sweat and hard work they have put into the gym.  The reason is there poor nutrition.  As you have noticed, I say "fat loss" not weight loss.  The difference is that weight loss includes muscle, fat and water.  At Ritch's Gym, we are into muscle gain (don't worry ladies, you will not get bulky) and fat loss.  I encourage all of my clients to stay off the scale as it weighs fat, muscle and water.  On our program, we measure "FAT LOSS".  Fat lies on top of muscle so when you lose the fat, we want a nice shape and healthy body with plenty of muscle to see.

2.  Join our group classes and/or personal training.  We recommend 3 days of 30 minutes of weight training for beginners and 4-5 days per week of weight training for Intermediate/Advanced level.  Cardio does have it's place but the emphasis needs to be placed on weight training and nutrition for maximum results.
